Astronaut Zine
Editorial Design, Illustration
Astronaut is an indie, artsy Zine that uses space facts, statistics, and metaphors as a lens to explore human emotion and modern life. Through a range of reflective topics, the Zine encourages self-awareness and offers readers a hopeful outlet for processing complicated emotions through thoughtful storytelling and visual exploration.
This project focused on developing a cohesive editorial and visual system that translates abstract emotional experiences into introspective content. Using gentle language and handmade illustrations, I created a series of brief, reflective stories exploring themes of escapism, melancholy, and mental health. Scientific concepts and space-related imagery were reinterpreted into emotional narratives, with writing and visuals working together to create an immersive reading experience that encourages reflection without prescribing specific solutions.
